Star Mayor

Nathan MitchellNathan Mitchell

Nate has served as Mayor of the City of Star for the past 2 years, with 2 years remaining in his term. He is a graduate of the University of Idaho (yes, he is a Vandals fan) and is a US Army Veteran. He was born and raised in rural Northern California and is from a family of Timber Fallers. When he was younger, he also joined the family in this vocation, making him the 5 th generation to embark upon this line of work. He enjoys bird hunting, fishing, golf and almost any outdoor activity. He and his wife Kelly have been married for 10 years and have 2 dogs, Lady Luck and Lucy.

Serving as Mayor gives Nate the opportunity to "assist residents and businesses in reaching success, thereby making Star better as a whole. It is gratifying to watch the city grow towards prosperity together," he said.

Chad BellChad Bell

Chad Bell has lived in Star for over 15 years. He operates a successful sprinkler installation company where he installs sprinkler systems for homes and businesses all over the Treasure Valley. Chad has raised three girls and is married to his wife of 25 years, Reba. Chad has been on the City Council since 2001 and is currently the Council President. He is in charge of several committees for the City including the School Advisory Committee. Chad is also an active participant in his church and he regularly volunteers his time to many worthwhile service projects throughout the community. Chad enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Tom ErlebachTom Erlebach

Tom has lived in West Ada County for 15 years. He operates a successful landscaping business here and lives in "old" Star. Tom has raised three teenage children who are in local schools in which Tom is a willing helper. He was elected to the Star City Council in 2003. He serves as liaison for the Parks and Recreation Committee and Transportation Committee. He is also active in volunteer work here in Star including Mule Days and Fire Department fund raising. Tom was born in Oregon and his parents and some siblings still live in Ontario. He attended T.V.C.C. and Oregon State University. Prior to starting his landscaping business, he was with the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) for 18 years.

Tammy McDanielTammy McDaniel

Tammy is happily married (20 years) and a mother of two. She has a son and daughter, 17 and 16 years of age. Tammy has lived in Star since 2001 after migrating from Mountain Home, having made her home there for 10 years. The Air Force brought her family to Idaho in 1992, after spending 4 years in Spangdahlem, Germany. Tammy is a full time employee of Ada County and is currently an Assistant Supervisor at the Chinden Moter Vehicle Department. Tammy was appointed to the City Council in 2004 and is currently a liaison for several other local agencies including the Ada County Library and Ada County Emergency Management Council. Tammy enjoys camping, four-wheeling, horseback riding and loves spending time with her family. Tammy looks forward to meeting all of the wonderful citizens of the City of Star, and serving them the best way that she can.

Dustin ChristophersonDustin Christopherson

Dustin Christopherson has lived in Star since 2000 and has lived in the Treasure Valley most of his life. Dustin has four children and is married to his wife, Heather. He runs his own custom software development company, working on web sites and customer software applications for local businesses. Dustin was elected to the City Council in 2003 and serves as liaison to several committees including the Economic Development Committee and the Star Chamber of Commerce. Dustin is also an active participate in his church and community. He enjoys electronics, computers, mathematics and spending time with his family.
