June 24-Seniors Steppin’ Out. Fusions Glass Studio in Eagle tour and project 10:30am at site or meet at City Hall at 10:15 for carpool. $5-$40 projects to choose from.


June 10-August 5 – Star Track Tuesdays for all.
At Star Elementary Track
8:30-9:30 am or 7:00- 8:00 pm no cost or sign up required. Prizes awarded.


July 4th Bike Decoration- COME RIDE YOUR BIKE IN THE PARADE. DECORATE It TO CELEBRATE THE 4th of July and win a prize. Join us by 9:30 am at the front of Rockbridge Sub (Seneca Springs and State St) Parade starts at 10 am. Look for the Star P/R banner. Look for schedule of events for Hometown Celebration on city’s homepage.


July 11 Free Movie Night “The Lego Movie”
at Blake Haven Park at dusk (approx 9:30pm).
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. Popcorn provided.

July 12&13 Peter X O’Bryan Watercolor Workshop. All levels welcome. 10 am-5 pm at Star City Hall. Saturday’s project will let loose with color and learn the power of white space. Sunday will focus on creating water and reflections and technique for painting rocks, trees and sky.
$85/day. Register by June 27th. $30 deposit to reserve spot.

Sports Programs ...

Open Play for the month of July – Ultimate Frisbee
Ages 8 and up Free.Introduction to Ultimate Frisbee at Hunters Creek every Monday July 7th thru July 28th 11am -1 pm. Coach Brennan for Eagle High will be instructing kids on the game of Ultimate Frisbee. Just come out and join the fun.


June 2 thru June 27- Fall Soccer Registration
Ages 3 to 14, as of July 31, 2014
$20.00 Residents $25.00 non-residents
$17.00 Jersey cost for ages 8 and above
Optional: $12.00 Professional coaching for ages 6 and up to be held either Wed. or Thurs. Those 7 and older, will have their home games at Hunters Creek Park in other cities like Middleton, Caldwell, Meridian & Nampa. Competitive season Saturday, September 6 through October 18.

Soccer Form


July 21-25 2nd Annual Challenger British and Brazil Soccer Camp in Star for ages 3-18 at Blake Haven Park along with a more advanced Tetra Brazil Camp ages 6-18. These camps are designed to be either full or half days and run simultaneously during the week, register on line or if you have questions contact Kari Ruby at kariruby@hotmail.com :

June 2 thru July 31 – Men’s Slow pitch Softball League Registration $20.00 resident $25.00 non-resident Ages 16 and up Games will be played Thursday nights and Tuesday nights if needed at Hunters Creek Park, 1500 N. Star Road. Season will run Aug 21 and run through October 2nd. You can get a team together or sign up as an individual and we will get you on a team.

Ages 5 and up

Practices begin Aug 18 and games begin Saturday Sept. 6th and run until October 18th.

Ages 16 and up

Practices begin Aug. 18 and games will begin Monday nights Sept. 1 thru Oct. 13th.

August 11-15 Tumbling Camp 10-11:30 am daily at the Community Barn in Star-439 N. Star Rd. $35 Residents $45 non-residents. Ages 6-10 beginners through intermediate abilities welcome.
