Concealed Weapons Class taught by Deputy Chris J Zieglmeier, November 17th 6-9 pm at Star City Hall public meeting room. Please no weapons. The cost is free for Ada county residents. The class will fill up quick so, call 286-7247 to reserve your spot.
American Red Cross CPR Certification Class Wednesday, December 3 6-9 pm $20. Completing class will certify you for 2 years time. AED and first responder information covered. Please call 286-7247 to reserve your spot in the class by November 15.
New Basketball Program at Star Elementary: Calling Tinytots (4 & 5) and 8 -11 year olds.
Tiny Tot Basketball: 4 & 5 (U6) year olds
Registration: Sept. 29 thru Oct. 17, Season: Oct. 27th thru Nov. 19th.
Teaching the basics of basketball, practices/games are Mon & Wed at 5:30 - 6 pm.
All ages are based as of: September 1, 2014
This season the 8 & 9 Division will play 1 game per week on Tuesday and practice either on Monday or Wednesday weekly. The 9 &10 division will play 1 game per week on Thursday and will practice on Monday or Wednesday nights. $20.00 resident / $25 non resident
Registration: Sept 29 thru Oct 24 or until full, Season: Dec 1 thru Jan 29
No games/practices when school is out.
8 & 9 (U10) year old division: Limited to the first 48 players to sign up. Games are played 5- 9 pm.
10 & 11 (U12) year old division: Only 64 spots available. Games are played 5 -9 pm
3 on 3 Men’s & Women’s: First 16 teams for each a men and woman’s league. Registration: Jan 1 thru Jan 16, Season: Feb 2 thru Mar. 13
Men’s league and a Women’s league forming for those 16 and up. Women’s games are Monday & Wednesday nights, and Men’s are Tuesday & Thursday nights. 10’ baskets, 20 min halves. Games will start at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30pm. $20.00 resident / $25 non resident.
