Waggin' Tails Memorial Trail - Buy a Brick Program

The Waggin’ Tales Dog Park Pathway is an honorary outdoor pathway located at the Waggin’ Tails Dog Park (11380 W Hiddenbrook Dr., in Star) that was created as a permanent legacy to honor the special relationship people share with their animals and allow residents a way to show their support for the dog park. The pathway was installed in May 2023 with an initial dedication of 64 engraved bricks and more than 1000 blank bricks. Blank bricks will be replaced with dedication bricks over time as they are purchased.

Anyone can purchase a dedication brick to be placed in the Waggin’ Tails Dog Park Pathway at any time. Simply click the ‘Pay by Credit Card’ or ‘Pay by Check’ button below and submit the information required. Each brick costs $100. Once the City of Star has received a minimum of four brick orders, the City will work with the brick engraver to add your legacy, memorial, or in-honor-of message into the brick to create a lasting memory of an animal companion. The City of Star will install your engraved brick in the pathway, and you will receive notice that your brick has been installed.

All profits from this dedication brick program will benefit local nonprofits whose mission is to support animals in need and the Waggin’ Tails Dog Park enrichment projects identified by the Parks, Art, and Beautification Committee (PABC). As of March 2024, Hand and Paw, a Star based non-profit (www.handandpaw.org), has received $1,661.67 on April 18, 2023, and $1,661.67 on October 17, 2023. PABC is working on the details of their park enrichment project which may include either a memorial bench or unique pathway signage.

Orders for bricks are placed in January and July only.
